It was a blast!!!

Our inaugural benefit dinner and silent auction was a rousing success! We are already planning for next year's event. So, get ready to mark your calendars!

Without the generosity of Les Compton, Dave Cobb, and the staff at AMVETS Post 2000, this event would not have been possible. They provided the facilities, the technology, the fantastic meal, and even the cooking and cleanup! The steak and chicken got rave reviews, and, according to Skip Daley, it was the best vegetarian food he'd ever had at an event.

We are extremely grateful to have had three inspirational and informative guest speakers: three-time Olympic diving coach Jeff Huber, All-American diver Amy Cozad, and IU volleyball coach Sherry Dunbar.

And special thanks to our outstanding Mistress of Ceremonies, Sheila Stephen! It is no wonder she is a successful DJ at Hoosier Country 105. She was the ideal hostess to engage and entertain our audience. And DJ Justin Brown was her perfect sidekick!

Our athletes showed that they are not only very competitive, but they are also some pretty good dancers! In fact, we may have a dance challenge in addition to the annual free throw contest at our next go-around.

Because of the generosity and good spirit of dozens of area businesses as well as Indiana University Athletics, we were able to give away hundreds of dollars in gift cards from Bloomington's best restaurants, and our silent auction items were a hit. Stone Belt provided all of our guests with a beautiful 2012-13 calendar that featured artwork by Stone Belt's very talented clients.

Thank You to:
